Dear Parents and Guardians:
We have just been made aware that we have a student at Narraguagus Jr./Sr. High School that has tested positive for Corona Virus. We have contacted everyone that has been determined to have been in close contact with this individual and they all are quarantining for 10 days.
Narraguagus Jr./Sr. High School will be remote for this week, March 15-19. All students will be participating in remote learning from home and no students will be attending, in person, at Narraguagus this week. Students that have not been directly exposed are not considered to be at risk.
Due to the number of faculty that need to quarantine due to this exposure, we do not have the capacity to keep the school open for in person instruction.
Our CTE center in Columbia will be open for in person instruction and has not been affected by this exposure.
Our plan is subject to change depending on any potential new information that might come in or other positive case confirmations.
I want to thank you for all your efforts and understanding during these most difficult times. We are trying to be proactive and keep all our students as safe as we can while still providing them with the best education that we can under these circumstances.
I know that everyone has been working hard to maintain our school year and to support our students (your children) in the most stressful of conditions. I want to thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. We will keep you informed via our messaging system, school and district Facebook pages and our website.
Sincerely,
Ronald C. Ramsay
