Dear Parents/Guardians,

A recent waiver from the USDA will allow school districts to offer free meals to our students through December 21, 2020 or until funding runs out if earlier than this date.  We are asking parents to please still complete the lunch applications that are being sent home with students as the information will be needed once this stream of funding runs out.

Because we will be serving under a program called Summer Food Service, any child up to the age of 18 is eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch each day, Monday through Friday.  This includes students attending school and remote learners, as well as siblings of students, home-schoolers, and other children in the district.

Because our buses will be busy transporting students with our schools back in session, we will not be delivering meals to individual homes this fall.  If anyone wishes to utilize this service being offered and is not in attendance at school, the parent/guardian or student will need to come to the school to pick up the meals.

Elementary students in attendance will be able to take home their Wednesday breakfast & lunch when they leave school on Tuesday.  Remote learners and any other children wishing to receive meals through this program will need to call whichever school they wish to pick meals up at and sign up based on the following guidelines.

Narraguagus students are following a hybrid schedule.  Students attending on Monday & Thursday will be able to take home their Tuesday and Wednesday meals when they leave on Monday, and their Friday meals when they leave on Thursday.  Students attending on Tuesday & Friday will be able to take home their Wednesday & Thursday meals on Tuesday but will need to come to the school on Monday to pick up their Monday meals.  Remote learners and any other children wishing to come and pick up meals can do so on Monday for their Monday/Tuesday meals, and on Wednesday for their Wednesday/Thursday/Friday meals. 

All meal pick-ups at both the elementary and Jr./Sr. High School must be done between 9 and 10 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday so not to interfere with the regular lunch service at the schools.

If your child is not physically attending school in our district this year but you wish to sign up for the meal program, please call or e-mail the appropriate school.  If you have children of various ages, you can choose one school to be your pick-up location for all of them.
